Personal data
This page describes how Genbutsu processes data related to browsing genbutsu.systems, in compliance with the GDPR.
This English version is provided for convenience only. In case of any discrepancy, the authoritative French version prevails.

For any privacy request, you may contact Genbutsu via the site contact point.
Data concerned
Depending on how you browse the site, the following categories may be processed:
- Navigation
- IP address, technical logs, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps — transmitted by your browser and processed by the hosting provider.

- Contact
- Name, professional email address, organisation (optional) and message content submitted through the contact form.
Purposes and legal bases
- Security and operation

- Audience measurement
- Understanding site usage and improving its structure - privacy-friendly audience measurement intended to be configured within the scope of the CNIL consent exemption, with the option to object via the page footer.
- Contact requests
- Responding to enquiries received via the form - pre-contractual steps where the request concerns Genbutsu’s services, or Genbutsu’s legitimate interest in responding to professional enquiries.
Cookies and trackers
The site may set cookies strictly necessary for its operation. Audience measurement via Plausible Analytics does not use cookies: aggregated page-view statistics are collected by default through a privacy-friendly configuration intended to fall within the CNIL consent exemption. You may object at any time via the “Opt out of analytics” link in the page footer.
Tool used: Plausible Analytics (data hosted in the European Union). Data concerned: pages viewed, referrer, device type and country - with no persistent identifier and no advertising cross-matching.
Retention periods
- Hosting logs
- Limited to what is strictly necessary for security and maintenance, in line with the hosting provider’s practices.
- Analytics
- Analytics data is retained according to the Plausible configuration and within the limits required for consent-exempt audience measurement. Genbutsu does not retain directly identifying personal data for analytics purposes.
- Contact messages
- Retained only for handling the request, then archived or deleted in accordance with applicable obligations.
Recipients and subprocessors
Data may be processed by:
- Vercel Inc., site hosting provider;
- Resend, transactional delivery of contact messages;
- Plausible Insights OÜ (plausible.io), audience measurement — unless you explicitly object.
Each subprocessor is selected for GDPR-compatible safeguards.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Genbutsu relies on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
